UPERFECT sells close to 50 different portable monitors, scattered across a confusing set of names: Blaze, Nomad, UStation, with UColor for the OLED and high-refresh panels. They go from light 14-inch budget screens up to 4K OLED and dual-screen setups. What almost all of them have in common is the same problem. Whether they sit on a magnetic cover or a flip-out kickstand, the screen ends up low on the desk. You spend the day hunched over looking down at it, which is bad for your neck and your focus.
The Flexsta Portable Monitor Stand fixes that by getting your UPERFECT up to eye level. It weighs 225g and attaches using a magsafe magnet + metal attachment ring. It can raise your portable monitor up to 39cm and folds down smaller than a banana. Since the UPERFECT range is so sprawling, most people's first question is whether Flexsta will work with their monitor, so that's where we'll start, then cover setup, how it stacks up against UPERFECT's own cover, and the other options.
Which UPERFECT Models Work With Flexsta?
Flexsta holds any portable monitor up to 900g (2 lbs). It works off a strong MagSafe magnet and a thin metal plate that sticks to the back of your monitor, so VESA holes and kickstands are irrelevant to the fit. Most UPERFECT screens sit comfortably under the weight limit. The ones to keep an eye on are the premium 4K and 4K OLED 15.6-inch panels and the twin-screen UStation, which get heavy. Here's where the common models fall:
| Model | Screen Size | Weight | Resolution | Compatible? |
| UPERFECT 14" 2K Mini LED (BE14BQ) | 14" | ~531g (1.2 lbs) | 2K (2560×1600) | ✅ Yes |
| UPERFECT 14" 3K OLED 120Hz (GR14BU) | 14" | ~585g (1.3 lbs) | 3K OLED 2880×1800 120Hz | ✅ Yes |
| UPERFECT 16" 3K OLED 120Hz (GR16HQ) | 16" | ~720g (1.6 lbs) | 3K OLED 2880×1800 120Hz | ✅ Yes |
| UPERFECT 16" 2K QHD 144Hz (GR16EQ) | 16" | ~720g (1.6 lbs) | 2K QHD 2560×1600 144Hz | ✅ Yes |
| UPERFECT 16" 4K Sunlight-Readable (BE16CU) | 16" | ~694g (1.5 lbs) | 4K 3840×2400 1200 nits | ✅ Yes |
| UPERFECT 16" 2.5K QLED 240Hz (GR16CQ) | 16" | ~730g (1.6 lbs) | 2.5K QHD 2560×1600 240Hz | ✅ Yes |
| UPERFECT 15.6" 1080P IPS (BE-series) | 15.6" | ~680–820g (1.5–1.8 lbs) | 1080p | ✅ Yes |
| UPERFECT 15.7" 4K Touch (BE157BU) | 15.7" | ~853g (1.9 lbs) | 4K UHD 3840×2160 | ✅ Yes |
| UPERFECT 15.6" 4K UHD (BE156EU) | 15.6" | ~930g (2.05 lbs) | 4K UHD 3840×2160 | ⚠️ Borderline |
| UPERFECT 15.6" 4K OLED (BE156NF) | 15.6" | ~940g (2.2 lbs) | 4K OLED 3840×2160 | ⚠️ Borderline |
| UPERFECT UStation Delta (dual-screen) | 2 × 15.6" | ~1.55kg (3.4 lbs) | 2 × 1080p | ❌ No |
Weights drift a bit between batches, so if yours is near the cut-off, check it. The 15.6-inch 4K UHD (BE156EU) and 4K OLED (BE156NF) both nudge just over 900g but would be fine to use. The dual-screen UStation Delta is in a different weight class entirely and comes with its own stand, so it's not relevant for use with a Flexsta.
If yours is under 900g, you're set. Grab a Flexsta here.
Not Sure Which UPERFECT You Own?
UPERFECT's naming is confusing. The same panel turns up under different names on different sites, or just as a code like BE156EU. If you're not sure what you've got, check the label on the back or the box and match it to the family:
- Codes starting with BE (BE156EU, BE156NF, BE157BU, etc.) are the Nomad business range - the heavier premium end.
- GR-series codes (GR16EQ, GR16HQ, GR16CQ, etc.) are the Blaze gaming panels, usually 16-inch and high-refresh, and among the lighter models despite the specs.
- UColor isn't a separate line. It's a premium label stuck on certain OLED models, like the BE156NF 4K OLED and the GR16HQ 3K OLED.
- UStation is the dual-screen and docked family, too heavy for any portable stand.
What do we recommend? We haven't tested these models ourselves but on paper the 16" 3K OLED GR16HQ and 16" 2K QHD GR16EQ are both seem like great high quality options to use with a Flexsta. The 15.6" BE-series 1080P is the value pick if you are on a budget. The 4K models are gorgeous but are quite heavy and you'd want to be confident you're happy carrying those around with you.
Compatible UPERFECT Model Numbers: GR16EQ, BE156EU, GR16HQ and More
If you got here searching for a specific model, the short version is that any UPERFECT under 900g works with Flexsta. That's the whole GR-series gaming line (GR16EQ, GR16CQ, GR16HQ, GR14BU), the 15.7" BE157BU, the 14" BE14BQ Mini LED, and the 16" BE16CU. The 15.6" BE156EU and BE156NF sit right at the edge. The dual-screen UStation models are out.
Fitting the Flexsta Portable Monitor Stand to Your UPERFECT
First fit takes two minutes. After that it's a few seconds.
1. Bond the plate to the back
Wipe the back panel with the alcohol wipe and let it dry. UPERFECT backs vary. The 4K and business models are usually aluminium, a lot of the budget 1080P ones are ABS plastic, but the 3M adhesive sticks to both. Put the plate centred, clear of any kickstand hinge. One thing worth knowing: even on the models whose cover clips on magnetically, the panel itself isn't magnetic enough for Flexsta, so the steel plate is still what does the holding. Give it 15 minutes to cure.
2. Set the height
Hold the legs and slide the magnetic head up until the top of the screen lines up with your eyes. Paired with a laptop, that's usually about 25cm of lift.
3. Mount it
Bring the plate to the magnet and let it click on. It stays put while you work and comes off with a tug when you pack down.

Flexsta vs the UPERFECT Smart Cover
Most UPERFECT monitors come with a magnetic origami cover that folds into a stand; the 4K and business models use a flip-out kickstand instead. Both are useful, but neither gets the screen anywhere close to eye level:
| Feature | UPERFECT Cover / Kickstand | Flexsta |
| Lift | A couple of low, fixed angles | Up to 39cm, to eye level |
| Eye-level positioning | ❌ No | ✅ Yes |
| Rotates to portrait | ❌ Rarely (covers can't) | ✅ Yes |
| Carry weight | Stays on the back, adds ~150-250g | 225g, packs on its own |
| Steadiness | Slips if the desk gets bumped | Locked on by magnet |
| Cost | Comes in the box | £60/$80 USD + shipping |
For a quick clip, plugging into a console, or showing someone your screen, the cover is fine. For a full day's work it isn't, because a screen at desk height means your neck is bent the whole time.
Flexsta exists because I had this problem and figured there must be a better option. My own portable monitor lived on a stack of books and a laptop case just to reach eye level. I wanted one light, steady thing that did the job and fit in my bag, so I built it.
Flexsta vs the Other Options
If you're comparing the alternatives:
| Flexsta | Tripod + Clip | VESA Arm | Books / Boxes | |
| Carry weight | 225g | ~400g+ | 500g+ | Free, but stays home |
| Reaches eye level | ✅ Yes, to 39cm | ✅ Yes | ✅ Yes | ❌ Not steadily |
| Fits every UPERFECT | ✅ Yes | ❌ ~13" cap | ⚠️ Only ones with VESA holes | ✅ Yes |
| Folds for travel | ✅ Yes, flat | ❌ Bulky | ❌ Heavy/Requires attaching to a desk | ❌ No |
| Hold | ✅ Firm magnet | ⚠️ Loose clip | ✅ Rock solid | ❌ Hit and miss |
| Rough cost | $80 | $30-60 | $40-80 | Free |
Tripod and clip: A camera tripod with a tablet clip gets some height, but it's often not tall enough, the clip is heavy and awkward, doesn't grip a 16-inch panel well, and are clunky to pack away.
VESA arm: UPERFECT is hit and miss here. Plenty of the gaming and business models have 75 × 75 VESA holes, so an arm works for those. But arms are heavy, tied to a desk, and impractical for travel, and just as many UPERFECT models have no VESA holes at all. The plate skips the whole question by sticking to any back.
Books and boxes: Free if you can find them, and fine right up until you bump the desk or change seats. Building your own mount out of a tripod, magnet and plates usually ends up costing more than Flexsta once you've bought the parts, and still won't fold into a bag.
Your Questions, Answered
What's the best stand for UPERFECT portable monitors? Flexsta is built for the job. It's a 225g magnetic stand that lifts any UPERFECT under 900g to eye level and folds flat to pack away. It doesn't care about VESA holes, kickstands or covers.
How do I know my UPERFECT is light enough? If it's under 900g you're fine, and most 14" to 16" models clear that easily. The two to double-check are the 15.6" 4K UHD (BE156EU) and 4K OLED (BE156NF), both around 930–940g. The dual-screen UStation Delta is out. Not sure of the weight? A kitchen scale settles it in seconds.
Is the UPERFECT GR16EQ / GR16HQ / BE156EU compatible with a monitor stand? Yes. The GR16EQ and GR16HQ are both around 720g and work perfectly with Flexsta. The BE156EU is ~930g, right at the limit; it'll hold but it's borderline. Check the table above for specific models.
Can I use a monitor arm with UPERFECT portable monitors? Some UPERFECT models have 75×75mm VESA holes (the GR16EQ, BE156EU and several BE-series models among them), so a VESA arm works for those. But plenty have no VESA mount at all, which is exactly why Flexsta uses a magnetic plate. It sticks to any back panel regardless.
Will the plate cover my ports or VESA holes? No. It sits on the flat part of the back, so place it clear of the ports and VESA holes and both stay usable.
My cover is magnetic, won't the stand just stick to that? No. The cover's magnets aren't the same as a steel back, and Flexsta needs something ferrous to grip. That's what the included plate is for.
I've got a touchscreen UPERFECT, is that a problem? Not at all. The plate goes on the back, nowhere near the touch surface, so the screen behaves exactly as before.
Does the plate leave marks when I remove it? No. It's removable 3M adhesive that peels off clean, no residue.
How do I power it? A lot of UPERFECT screens run off a single USB-C cable from your laptop. The 4K and high-refresh models (the GR16EQ 144Hz and GR16HQ 120Hz OLED included) usually need a second USB-C lead to a charger to hold full brightness. That second port covers the extra power draw.
