Best Stand for Arzopa Portable Monitors - Flexsta Compatibility Guide

If you own an Arzopa portable monitor, you've probably noticed the same thing most people do after a few weeks of use: the built-in kickstand keeps your screen at desk level, which means you're looking down at it constantly. That's fine for the occasional quick task, but if you're using it as a daily second screen, it hurts your posture & productivity.

A dedicated stand that raises your Arzopa to eye level fixes this completely. The Flexsta is designed specifically for portable monitors. Weighing just 225g and raising screens up to 39cm Flexsta turns your Arzopa into a proper ergonomic workstation anywhere you set up.

Here's which Arzopa models are compatible, how to set it up, and how it compares to the alternatives.

Arzopa Model Overview

Arzopa's range splits into a few series. Here's the short version so you know where your model sits:

  • A-series (Budget/Productivity): The A1S (14") and A1 (15.6") are their entry-level options, solid screens for work at a lower price. The A1M (17.3") is the largest and heaviest.

  • Z-series (Mid-range/Performance): This is where most of Arzopa's lineup lives now. The Z1C and Z1FC are 16.1" with better colour gamut, and the Z1FC adds 144Hz for gaming. The Z1RC is their flagship with 2.5K resolution, 500 nits brightness, and excellent colour accuracy. The Z3FC is their newest, combining 2.5K with 180Hz.

  • A3C Pro (Premium/OLED): A compact 13.3" OLED option for creatives.

  • G-series (Discontinued): The original G1 Game has been replaced by the Z1FC. If you still have a G1, it's also compatible with Flexsta.

If you're still deciding which Arzopa to buy, we recommend the Arzopa Z1RC, 2.5K resolution, lightweight at 810g, and 500 nits of brightness so you can work outdoors too. It's the perfect companion for Flexsta. It also provides the best cost to value ratio of any portable monitor on the market.

How to Set Up Your Arzopa Monitor With Flexsta

Setting up takes about two minutes the first time, and seconds after that.

Step 1: Attach the metal plate

Clean the back of your Arzopa with the included alcohol wipe, dry it with the dry wipe, then stick the metal plate onto the back panel. For the best stability, attach the plate centred horizontally and in the bottom third vertically. If you want to use your monitor in portrait mode as well, place the plate in the centre horizontally and vertically instead. The adhesive needs about 15 minutes to fully set before first use.

Step 2: Extend the Flexsta to your preferred height

Pull the stand up to your desired height. To do this pull on the magnetic head while holding the tripod legs. For most café table and desk setups, extending it just above your laptop height, around 25cm for a 16" MacBook, works well.

Step 3: Attach and go

Position your Flexsta on your desk and move your monitor into position making sure the metal ring and magnet align. The connection is firm enough that the monitor won't slip, but easy enough to detach effortlessly when you're packing up.

Flexsta vs Arzopa's Built-In Kickstand

Every Arzopa monitor comes with a built-in kickstand. It works, but it has clear limitations for daily use:

The kickstand is fine if you're using the Arzopa for occasional tasks, plugging into a console, showing a client something quickly, or watching a video. But if you're working with your Arzopa portable monitor for hours at a time, having the screen at desk level forces you to look down, which leads to neck and shoulder strain that makes you less productive.

I used the Z1RC for a month working remotely and I kept having to stack books on top of the table to try to get it to a decent height, but doing this with the kickstand was incredibly unstable, it kept falling over and I kept having to restack the books. That’s actually why I designed the Flexsta in the first place.

Tripods: Some people mount their portable monitor on a small tripod with an iPad clip holder. This can work, but the clip is bulky, heavy, not particularly secure, and typically maxes out at around 13" screens - ruling out most of the Arzopa lineup.

VESA mount stands: Sturdier, but heavier, bulkier, and require VESA mounting holes - which no Arzopa model has. Flexsta's magnetic plate system works with any monitor regardless of VESA compatibility.

DIY setups (books, boxes, laptop stand): The free option. Stacking books works in a pinch, but it's not adjustable, not stable, and not practical if you move between workspaces. You can also buy individual parts (tripod, magnet, metal plates) and assemble your own, but the trial and error to get the right combination often ends up costing more than Flexsta and you still won't have something that packs flat.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will Flexsta work with my Arzopa model? Yes - all current Arzopa monitors fall within Flexsta's 900g weight limit. The A1S, A1, Z1C, Z1FC, Z1RC, Z3FC, and even the 17.3" A1M are all compatible.

Does the metal plate damage my Arzopa monitor? No. The adhesive plate attaches to the back panel using high quality 3M adhesive and can be removed without leaving residue. It doesn't interfere with the monitor's electronics, ports, or kickstand.

Can I use my Arzopa in portrait mode with Flexsta? Yes. Place the metal plate in the centre of your Arzopa's back panel and you can rotate freely between landscape and portrait.

How do I connect cables with the monitor raised on Flexsta? The USB-C and Mini HDMI ports on Arzopa monitors are on the left edge. When mounted on Flexsta, cables hang down naturally and don't interfere with the stand.

Is 225g really worth carrying? 225g is roughly the weight of a large apple. You won't notice it in your bag, but you'll absolutely notice the difference it makes to your productivity. It's the difference between being hunched over your laptop and having a proper dual-screen setup at eye level wherever you work.

How do I power my Arzopa? You can use the USB-C passthrough charging from your laptop, meaning you only need one cable to use your monitor.
