Hey FLEXSTA Family,

As a preliminary step to setting up your profile (blog post here), we think it’s super important that you have a good understanding of how our platform actually works. So, below is a summary of what it is we do and how we match you with opportunities, so that you can begin to formulate how to get the most out of our software.

A basic rundown of us - we represent the ‘future of work’. We wish to empower freelancers in this globally changing work environment by giving them direct access to roles that are suited to them that they can pick up as soon as they’re posted.

To do this, FLEXSTA matches your wonderful self with the perfect job opportunities through algorithmic-based searches. At a granular level, FLEXSTA is pulling data specifically from your profile and matching it to the requirements of each job opportunity. Think of it as the eHarmony of the working world!

For example, an employer might post a job wanting an expert in “digital media buying/selling”, who is also a whiz at operating in a “Google G Suite” environment, with some general, non-essential proficiency in “Spectra MD” in case the need to buy TV arises. Everyone in the FLEXSTA family who is a great fit for the requirements gets a ping to let them know about the job opportunity via email and/or text.

Just like dating, don’t worry if you’re not the perfect match! We’ll only show you jobs we think are right for you, but if you’re close to the mark or closely compatible with the ideal candidate (e.g. if you’ve only recently transitioned from TV to digital but have a good understanding of both), then you’ll still hear about the offer.

So that is FLEXSTA, and how the backend of our site works. Knowing all of this, I’m sure you can now see how important it is to comprehensively fill out your profile! After all, who’s going to go on a date with you if you don’t have a picture, your details and a little note about yourself telling everyone what makes you... well, you!
